Torn Veil

I shared this message at a local Church this morning. It was a simple yet powerful  strategy the Lord gave the local Church to live and demonstrate His Kingdom.

Matthew 27:51 describes the event that occured when our Lord Jesus gave up His spirit. The word of God says that the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, the rocks split and the dead were raised.

Why God had to tear the veil and why is it important for us as the New Testament Church to understand this truth?

As you know the Old Testament Tabernacle was divided into 3 parts - one the outer court, the holy place and then the Holy of Holies, where the glory presence of God rested. No one could have access to the most spiritual place on earth except the High Priest and only once a year.

The veil created a gulf between God and the people whom He created in His own  image. When Jesus paid the penalty for our sin on the cross two things were accomplished - 1. God had the legal right to forgive us and accept us 2. God had now the opportunity to make our bodies HIS Temple.

For those of us who have believed in Jesus have been forgiven and the most important thing is that we have God residing in the innermost part of our spirit and his blazing glory resting there. Wow!

The same glory which went before Israel in the desert, the same glory that rested in the Old Tabernacle is the same Glory resting in our spirit. I know its very difficult to wrap our logical brain around this revelation. Nevertheless its the Truth. We have the Glory in us and its right in the center of our being.

Apostle Paul says in Colossians, Christ in us the Hope of Glory, meaning now we have the access to this glory of God the same glory which was residing in Jesus.

Whenever the Glory of God manifested it immediately impacted its surrounding. It impacted the yielded objects that came to its proximity. In the Old Testament we see many examples. I will close with one example and continue in the next blog.

One obvious manifestation of the Glory of God is that it quickens the dead to life. Aaron's  dead staff bore Almonds when it was placed in the Holy of Holies, in the presence of the Glory of God. When you are yielded to God the manifestation of His Glory will be seen over your life.

That's why when the veil was torn, the first obvious manifestation of the Glory of God was to bring the dead saints back to life.Alleluia!

The dead has to live when it encounters the Glory of God. Are you having this Glory resting in you? An absolute yes if you are a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

I will continue in my next blog and we will see how we can release this glory for every situation in our lives.

Please feel free to leave your comments below.

See you soon!

Characteristics of the New Disciple - 2

Characteristics of the New Disciple (continued) 11. The normal things a New Disciple does: He heals the sick, he casts out demons, he receives all kinds of communication from heaven like visions, dreams he does creative miracles, he walks on water, he raises the dead, he multiplies provision, he is transported by faith  and accomplishes kingdom work. He can visit and enjoy the communion of saints in the spirit. The New Disciple is ministered by his fellow servants the Holy angels and the cloud of witnesses who are constantly ther to help him for they are part of his team. 12. The New Disciples's DNA is constantly getting transformed to resemble Jesus and like Jesus be transfigured into His likeness with the brightness of His glory. Other than that he is so familiar with Heaven and the family in heaven. 13. The New Disciple walks with eyes opened to both realms, earth and heaven. 13. The New Disciple is the channel for Gods glory to flow out through his spirit , soul ...

Torn Veil - Defeating Death and Disease

Hi New Disciple, we are continuing the 'Torn Veil' theme for a few more days. We were discussing how the Glory of God quickens the dead back to life. Today another story from the Old Testament found in 2 Kings 13. To cut the story short  Elisha's bones quickens a dead body back to life. Now you are asking me a question and I knew it was coming. So you are asking me if Elisha's bones quickened a dead person to life then why did he die in the first place? Thanks for asking that brilliant question. Let me give you an example, lets say a person owned a pharmacy and one day he got very sick to the point of death and had no knowledge of a medicine sitting on his shelf that had the curative ability to heal him? Please tell me what good the medicine would do just by sitting there unless it was accessed and used? Zilch I suppose. In the same way we fail, not because there is no solution but because we are ignorant or unbelieving of it.  Elisha had the potential to live like E...

How to get a Revelation from the Word?

One of the realities of knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior is that God invades our lives and makes our heart His residence. We become the gateway of heaven to invade our world. The process of transformation starts from within and progresses until we are filled with His fullness.  I have found that one of the greatest hindrances to us advancing in our spiritual lives is a lack of revelation of the Word. A lot of head knowledge can never replace the Knowledge that comes by God's Revelation to us through His Word. Revelation means to Uncover.  Revelation does not come by only reading the Word, although reading has its own benefits. We need to Hear God's voice. When people had God-encounters in the Bible the common denominator had always been that they heard the voice of God speaking to them or had some manifestation of His presence. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Hearing Gods voice is non-negotiable to having a...
